Earlier this month, Kappa Alpha Lambda made a powerful mark by becoming the 1st African-American LGBT Greek organization to sign the Human Rights Campaign's Million for Marriage Petition, thus solidifying the Sorority's place in history as an assembly of women committed to effective leadership, and positive change for the LGBT community. Through the Sorority's ongoing partnership with the Human Rights Campaign, this commitment will continuously grow. The Sorority's leadership plans to begin lobby meetings with Congressional Representatives in the coming months.
