Kappa Alpha Lambda Sorority, Inc. International Anti-Hazing Policy

The International Body of Kappa Alpha Lambda Sorority, Inc. explicitly states the following, in regards to the matter of hazing:

Kappa Alpha Lambda WILL NOT tolerate, or condone, any act of hazing prior to, during, upon or after completion of the pledge period.

Hazing is to be defined, for the purpose of this Official document, as:
Any act of physical, mental, or emotional intimidation,
and/or any act of physical violence, or act which has the potential to place participants in harm's way.

To clarify, the following are acts considered to constitute hazing according to Kappa Alpha Lambda Policy-

*Any form of violence toward a candidate for Membership, or a Member of the Sorority, to include, yet not be limited to:
Beating or hurting by punching, kicking, choking, scratching, cutting, etc., or
causing said individuals to inflict such acts upon themselves or others.

*Any type of mental or emotional intimidation, including, yet not limited to, humiliation, ritualistic torture,
degradation, public humiliation or embarrassment, unnecessary fits of rage, forced sexual acts and/or harassment,
etc.

*Any forced participation in acts or ideologies that might negatively impact the candidate or Member, such as:
Thievery, extreme physical exertion, depravation of sleep, food, or drink,
or of the ability to access any such necessities, depraved acts towards citizens or Members,
acquiescence of personal property, extreme abuse of reasonable time constraints, etc.

This is only a PRELIMINARY publication of the Kappa Alpha Lambda Sorority, Inc. Anti-Hazing Policy.
It does NOT, by any means, cover any and all possibilities or incidents which may constitute hazing.
If it is reported that a Member or chapter has violated this Policy, they shall be swiftly repimanded,
both efficiently and accordingly.

As stated previously, the International Directorate and Body of Kappa Alpha Lambda will ABSOLUTELY NOT tolerate hazing.
